We had a very enjoyable two night stay in the Somerley Suite. Stuart and Amanda are excellent hosts. The room was spacious, elegant and clean. Breakfast was lovely, served in the light and airy dining room which looks out on the beautiful garden. We would definitely return.
We stayed for five days this Christmas so that we could be close to family in Beccles. The location worked brilliantly. The house was spotlessly clean and lovely and warm on arrival and was very well equipped. We had a really relaxing stay and would certainly consider staying again.
We stayed in the shepherds hut which was very comfortable. The hot tub was fantastic and watching the sun go down over the rolling countryside was really romantic. Breakfast was served in the hut and was very good. Plenty of restaurants nearby to get some great food.
I stayed here recently just for a little mid-week trip with my sister. We both agreed it was the nicest place either of us had been in a while. The service was impeccable, Stuart was so kind and generous. The breakfast was delicious and timely - they even accommodated me being vegan and my sister not! We chose to not have a car and walk around the place which was the nicest excuse to explore. Somerleyton is a very peaceful place with the pub just a 7 min walk roughly and lots of great opportunities to go walking around the neighboring fields! The hut is cosy but very nice with a great shower as well as a lovely kitchen space and DVD collection! We would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!
We had a wonderful, peaceful holiday at Somerleyton Meadows. Stuart and Amanda were great hosts - friendly, welcoming and communicative. The house is fantastic and the grounds are just stunning - we spent many a relaxing hour drinking wine in the sunny garden. Our holiday was a combination of family and friends, and it was brilliant to be in a place where everyone had comfortable space of their own alongside special communal areas to hang out together. We enjoyed some local walks, visited the beach, had a blast playing “multi-golf” just up the road and loved the pub at the end of the lane. Thank you for a fantastic stay - we very much hope to return.
We've never stayed anywhere quite like this - the setting is stunning and the hut is beautifully fitted out. Breakfast delivered to your door is a lovely touch and was delicious. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.
We had a wonderful 2 night stay in the shepherds hut. The hut is done out beautifully with a very comfortable bed. The private Scandinavian hot tub was lovely and was ready for us to use when we arrived. Being in your own private meadow is amazing and a great place to escape from the world. Breakfast was beautiful and all the food was great quality. Thank you to our hosts and we will definitely be back again.
